Moscow 18-19 September.
Kyudo Federation is happy to announce that on 18-19 September 2010 during the visit to Russia of the first official delegation of ANKF Senseis there were organised:
-demonstrations of ceremonies
-seminars
-lectures

The ANKF delegation was represented by:
Ishikawa Takeo, Hanshi 8 dan, Chairman if the Board of All Nippon Kyudo Federation
Kawamura Mitsuo, Hanshi 8 dan, Memeber of the Board of All Nippon Kyudo Federation
Kato Izuru, Hanshi 8 dan, Memeber of the Board of All Nippon Kyudo Federation
Obata Koichi, Memeber of the Board of All Nippon Kyudo Federation, ex-Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Japan in Kingdom of the Jordan.
Harada Sigeki, Executive Secretary of All Nippon Kyudo Federation
Miike Masaki, Chief of Secretariat department of All Nippon Kyudo Federation.
The visit of ANKF Senseis to Russia was organised with the help of Embassy of Japan in Russia.

During the visit of Senseis we had chance to observe and take part in:
The following ceremonies were performed by the Senseis:
18 September 2010 (Saturday) - Hitotsu Mato Sharei;
19 September 2010 (Sunday) - Mochi Mato Sharei.
There was given a lecture on the history and development of Kyudo with the information for those who wished to start studying Kyudo.
42 people (from Moscow, Moscow Region, St-Petersburg and Ulianovsk) participated in the seminar.
During the 1st day the Japanese Senseis examined the level of Russian kyudoka and then, after dividing the participants in 3 groups, worked with everyone individually.
Senseis changed groups from time to time so that every person had a chance to receive comments from all of ANKF Senseis.
During the 2nd day the Senseis gave comment on theory. They spoke about the 8 stages of shooting and basic requirements in terms of technique and mistakes. Then the work in groups was continued.
On 19 September more than 10 people took part in the Kyudo master-class. All the necessary equipment was provided and everyone tried shooting Japanese bow (Yumi).
This superb Kyudo event was attended by more than 600 guests not only from Russia but from other countries as well.
MRОО "Kyudo Federation" received letters of congratulations from its friends - Kyudo organisations from: Latvia, Poland, Ukraine and Lithuania.
Mass media representatives made several reports of the seminar and interviewed the representatives of All Nippon Kyudo Federation and the heads of Russian MROO "Kyudo Federation".
At the end of the seminar Sensei Ishikava Takeo (Hanshi, 8 dan) bestowed grade (dan) certificates to the Russian kyudoka who successfully passed exams in Tokyo this spring.
